The Rights Group (“TRG”) was established to assist clients, who have a limited amount of experience of Spain, to short circuit the process of deciding with whom to work. Through our one stop shop - the TRG Network - we can help you to determine who is best to represent your interests in Spain.

Our estate agency Members can help you find your property. Our professional service Members are available to assist with your funding requirements, legal and tax advice etc. in order to complete your purchase.

All of the TRG Network members have been test driven by us. The principals of our Member businesses are usually totally bilingual and include Abogados (Lawyers), Surveyors, Accountants, Mortgage and Insurance Brokers, Bankers, Currency Dealers, Tax and Investment Advisors, Estate and Rental Agents.

I am an English trained lawyer who practised for over 20 years in the UK - the last 12 years as a Partner in a Solicitor’s practice in Central London. I settled with my wife and family on the Costa del Sol a few years ago. My experience of the Spanish advisors appointed to look after our interests was that they just didn’t come up to my standards of professional life. Their technical knowledge was fine but their “client care” – their responsiveness to us and our need for clear information - was appalling.

We have identified those advisors whom we believe are the “best of breed”. However, some clients will have been referred to other local advisors with whom we are equally happy to work. We would only ask that, where possible, you consult us before you appoint your advisor(s).

TRG’s role is to project manage your dealings in Spain and to “drive” your professional advisors, as necessary. A TRG representative becomes responsible to you and effectively becomes your eyes and ears in Spain. We ask the right questions, get the required answers and, in tandem with your chosen advisors, keep you fully informed at all stages – using electronic communication where possible.

We have seen our business grow rapidly as a direct result of the many TV and media pieces in Northern Europe about clients receiving poor advice, being misinformed and falling victim to conflict of interests.

We don’t promise that it will always be plain sailing – Spain is highly bureaucratic – but we do seek to alleviate as much of the pain as possible. After all, buying and managing your dream home is meant to be a pleasure.
